Your Genealogy

Genealogists were once the only option available to you wanted to discover your heritage. They had access to the resources needed to trace your ancestry and draw up a family tree. However, these days we have the luxury of the Internet and the world wide web. This has allowed us to sit in our cosy homes and research our family’s history ourselves.

Whist we can access a growing amount of information about our family history, this doesn’t mean that theĀ  genealogist is no longer needed. A quick look at theĀ Society of Genealogists website and you will find experts on genealogy willing to share their knowledge with you. But if you want only look into your own family history, I can show you some of the most popular resources avilable to you.

There is so much more history to discover about your descendants, and so many more stories to uncover.

In this section we will take a look at some of the resources which you may not think of using. We will learn some of the tricks of using search engines which will help you to drill down into the depths of the search results, and I will share some of my hints, tips and experiences in forming and refining my own family tree.
